Testing WMI Requests

Diese Seite steht leider noch nicht auf Deutsch zur Verfügung. Wir bitten um Ihr Verständnis!
WMI stands for "Windows Management Instrumentation" and is the latest technology from Microsoft for monitoring and management of Windows based systems.

WMI allows a process to read out data for many Windows' configuration parameters as well as current system status values. Access can take place locally or remotely via a network connection. WMI is based on COM and DCOM and is integrated in Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and later. Add-ons are available for Windows 9x and NT4.

Products like Paessler's IPCheck Server Monitor make use of the WMI functionality to monitor computers in network environments.

As accessing WMI counters over a network is not exactly trivial, the Paessler WMI Tester is a tool that can be used to test the accessibility of WMI counters in a quick and easy manner.

You can find more information as regards the Tester, as well as the download link under our WMI Tester download page.
