Packet Sniffing for local network cards.
This small tool shows live stats and a short term statistical history about the network data packets and streams passing a local network card. Using the Packet Sniffing Engine of PRTG Network Monitor it looks at all network packets that pass a specific network card.
- Tab "Statistics": The tool counts the number of packets passing the network card and calculates the current bandwidth as well as the average packet size. For the last 20 minutes these stats are shown in a graph.
- Tab "Streams": Every few seconds the list is updated with all current IP data streams going through the network card
Instructions
- Download the ZIP file below and start "cardpacketcounter.exe" file from the ZIP file
- Select an item from the list of available network cards
- Counting and graphing will start immediately

Notes
This Freeware program is provided free for Paessler customers, mainly as a diagnostic tool for users of PRTG Traffic Grapher and PRTG Network Monitor. Please understand that we can not provide support for the program.
